Profile of Wassiem Rafique, 26 years voluteer counsellor/mentor 3As project

For the last 5 years, I have been working towards becoming a counsellor/Mentor. I started my psychology degree at Bolton Institute and graduted with honours in 2001. Then I started the Level 2 diploma in counselling which I completed in June 2002 and immediately started the Level 3 advanced diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (C.B.T.). I am currently mid-way through the second year of the Level 3 C.B.T. and in this time I have realised how effective and useful the techiques that I have been taught are. What I have learnt is that in any situation if approached in a positive and empathic manner using the cognitive behavioural techniques would result in the most effective and succinct outcomes for the client. I want to work and help anyone who wants to gain employment or training to help themselves. If you are willing to take the first important step towards seeking help, then I will be willing to match every other step with you, by your side as your mentor or counsellor. Problems and issues faced by many people who want to gain or change their choice of jobs or training. I work in the same way and together we will work the problems, resolving the above issues. I will help you find the job or training you are looking for. In most cases, the answers to our questions and the solutions to our problems are apparent but as with us all, it is the most obvious of answers that are the hardest to find. Together with the help of Bolton IAG and the 3As project we will find the answers.
